Itsy Bitsy Yoga
by Lara McGlashan

Is your baby fussy at night? Gassy after eating? Difficult to put down? Perhaps a little yoga can help you both.

Yoga instructor and child development specialist Helen Garabedian has put together a program of simple yoga poses to help your baby sleep longer, digest better, grow stronger and increase your parent-child bond. You don’t need to be a seasoned yogi to practice this yoga, either. In fact, your baby may already be doing yoga without you knowing it!

“When you change a diaper, your baby is doing shoulder stand,” says Garabedian. “And when they’re learning to stand up, they go into Down Dog several times a day.”
