Yoga Instructor Jamie Chapman: "It's to help babies and tots sleep better, sleep longer, digest better and grow stronger." Barret's mom Silvia Sullivan: "It works for me - I think everyone should try it." There are more than 75 different poses. They help everything from colic to developing hand-eye coordination. For instance the corkscrew. Jamie Chapman: "This is great for digestion gas relief -- and if they have diarrhea -- go the other way." The dolphin -- Jaime Chapman: "This is good for the nervous system and this is good for hiccups." And the so-called magic poses -- like divine drops. Jaime Chapman: "Womb wings -- womb wing womb-- wings woo." Perfect for a fussy baby. Jamie Chapman: "The movement actually helps calm them down." Jack's Mom Sherri Wells: "I plan to incorporate some of the poses we did and using them at night before he goes to sleep when I really need to get him to relax." But a word of caution - it must be taught by an expert of young yoga, and pediatricians say you need to be careful Dr. Alberto Kriger from Joe Dimaggio Children's Hospital: "Yes you do have to be careful not to put your child in a position that may cut off oxygen supply to them or put them in such an abnormal posture that it would stress their muscles or bones. For the most part if you follow the procedures that they're talking about -- it's safe." Perhaps the biggest benefit - parent and baby forming an everlasting bond.
Jack's mother Sherri Wells: "I think Jack loved it. He was smiling and laughing." Itsy Bitsy Yoga is for tots up to 2-years-old. Then they can move onto a more advanced class.
